Dr. Matt Mitchell
I am an Arizona licensed Naturopathic Medical Doctor (State of Arizona Naturopathic Board of Medical Examiners).
I earned a Bachelors of Science in Biology from Arizona State University. After attending graduate school, I taught high school science in Gilbert, Arizona. Years later, I decided to fulfill my dream of becoming a physician, like my father. I completed my Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona.
I am committed to the philosophies of naturopathic medicine in my personal and professional life. As a physician in the art of natural healing and the father of six children, I have discovered the true wonders of natural medicine. If it is integrated into your everyday life, it can help you attain a remarkable state of health. I am constantly amazed at the
incredible healing powers of nature. As a result of this philosophy, I focus my treatment on fostering the natural healing properties of the body and listening to the individual needs of the patient. I love this medicine, because there is something amazing in it for everyone. I see people everyday who feel they have been given a new opportunity at health.
I specialize in simple anti-aging therapies through clinical nutrition, natural and bioidentical hormones, medical weight loss programs including hCG weight loss, and lifestyle education. and lifestyle education. I also specialize in natural pain management, through the use of Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy or Biopuncture.
Denise Mitchell

I am the Practice Development Coordinator at SanTan Natural Medicine. On any given day, you may find me helping a patient, answering the phone, ordering supplies, or just making sure everyone feels welcome. There is no secret to the warm and inviting environment that I make sure to create everyday in the office.
My background is in retail and business operations and I have a BS in Accounting from ASU. I pay important attention to the details and the quality of patient service. "Our Practice is all about the patients, and we work hard to make them feel important at every visit."
I chose to support Dr. Matt, my husband, on this journey of opening SanTan Natural Medicine, because I knew he needed to concentrate on helping the patients. My gift was in the marketing and development of the business. Together, we are a great team.
Ann Bierer
I am the Front Office Coordinator. I have worked in the practice since Aug 2009. I was able to come to work because my son started attending sixth grade. Prior to working outside the home, I spent the previous 12 years learning, exploring, and experimenting with alternative therapies. I was able to experience first hand healing when my son was diagnosed with multiple food sensitives at six years old. Through natural remedies, by rebuilding his immune system with vitamins, alternating and eliminating foods, his body was able to heal. Today he is an amazing, 14 year old, 6'3" healthy kid. Today, I smile when I see him enjoying a fulfilling, vibrant, healthy life.
One of my favorite parts of my job is my interaction with our patients. It brings me great joy to see how their lives transform when they are given the correct tools and education. Everyday, I feel that I am able to share my knowledge to help others live a fuller, healthier life.
Laura Blush, RN
I am one of the nurses at SanTan Natural Medicine who assist Dr. Mitchell in treating and helping patients on their journeys with holistic medicine.
I am a member of the American Nurses Association, Arizona Nurses Association, and the American Holistic Nurses Association. Currently, I’m finishing up my bachelor of science in nursing and am pursuing my certification as a holistic nurse.
To me, true health and well-being is about the whole person and not just about medicine. I believe individuals can prevent and treat medical issues by looking at all of the pieces of their lives. For me this includes spiritual, emotional, nutritional, and medical approaches.
Donya Good, RN
I am a Registered Nurse that cares about people as individuals, their complete health, and their overall happiness. I come from many years of Home Health and Hospice nursing. I learned that people need to know they are valued and everyone has a unique story and perspective to give. In the past, I have seen so many chronic illnesses and death with my patients, it is uplifting to see the positive changes that SanTan Natural Medicine is making in the lives of so many. I enjoy seeing people embrace holistic medicine and how empowering it is for individuals to take charge of their own health.
I have been married for 12 years and we have two lovely daughters, 9 and 7. I am blessed to be a mother and am grateful for the things they teach me daily. I love working in the yard, cooking, and different crafty projects. I enjoy working out in many forms. I compete in triathlons and am in the process of becoming certified to teach group fitness classes.
