There’s so Much More to hCG Weight Loss than Just the Food!

Here’s what is talked about in this video…

One thing we have learned in this hCG program is that there is much more than just the food. There is huge mental and emotional component. We, SanTan Natural Medicine, find our patients struggle with this even more than eating the food.

I had a patient the other day tell me that she felt like she had just lost her best friend.  Many of us have relationships with food that we never realized because we never restricted the food we eat the way we’re required to do on the hCG diet.

So, when you are taking away your best friend, you have to do a lot of self-evaluation. You have to understand that there really are more things out there than food. You need to support yourself and surround yourself with the right kind of people and really be the best you that you can be. And that’s what we try to do is give you that coaching so that you can then come out on the other side and make better choices. People get jobs, lose jobs, people gain relationships, lose relationships and we see amazing life changes on this diet program. It really has very little to do with the food.

Why Don’t Conventional Doctors Offer the hCG Diet Program?

Conventional doctors do not offer the hCG Diet Program for simple reasons.

First, the use of hCG for weightloss is not approved by the FDA. The AMA (American Medical Association) uses the FDA guidelines to determine which treatments they will and will not allow. Any conventional doctor that uses a treatment that is not approved by the FDA may compromise his/her malpractice insurance coverage.  Quite simply, the bureaucracy in medicine keeps conventional doctors from exploring the amazing benefits of hCG for weightloss.

Second, most conventional doctors do not understand the hCG diet program. Without researching and studying the hCG diet program, conventional medical doctors are quick to comment that it is not safe.

And last, the implementation of a successful hCG Diet Program requires much time spent with patients on a weekly basis.  Most conventional doctor's offices do not allow for this amount of time per patient to help and support a patient through a successful program.

Does the hCG Program Work Better Than Other Diets for Women 45+, and if so Why?

We have had hundreds of women over the age of 45, visit our clinic with the same overall complaint about their weight problem - that is, they have tried “everything” and can’t seem to lose their weight.

Most of these women are 50 or more pounds overweight, but many are only 10 to 20 pounds and can’t seem to lose those last few pounds.  Exercise and dieting seem to be ineffectual for this population of women.

It’s difficult to put a finger on the main cause of weight problems in women because they vary so greatly.  Medically speaking, women are much more complex than men in that they have many more physiological and hormonal issues with which to contend.  We find numerous women whose weight gain originates back to their pregnancies.  Other women will claim their weight increased following menopause, and more significantly, after their hysterectomy.  Some will just say their weight issues begin inexplicably after age 45, and some as young as 35.

According to Dr. Simeons, a majority of women (and men) have difficulty losing weight because their hypothalamus is imbalanced. The hypothalamus is the part of our brain that controls our metabolism, and therefore our ability to lose or gain weight.  In his research, Dr. Simeons used hCG along side a very low calorie diet to reset the hypothalamus.  This rebalancing of the hypothalamus encouraged the loss of stored fat, and more importantly, prevented the regaining of stored fat.  This mechanism that Dr. Simeons discovered made the hCG diet much more than just a diet…it gave, especially women, a tool with which to finally take control of their weight.  In essence, it cured their weight problem.

What’s the Difference in Doing the hCG Diet 23 days instead of 40?

The length of the program depends on two factors; how much weight you need to lose and how much weight you want to lose.  In the 23 day program, people lose between 12 to 25 pounds.  In the 40 day program, people tend to lose at least 20 and as much as 40 to 50 pounds. Men are the “biggest losers” with losses of up to 60 pounds.

The hCG Diet usually entails major dietary changes for most people.  Some people have a very difficult time giving up certain foods they enjoy and find the 40 day program too much or too long of a sacrifice.  These people tend to do better on the 23 day program.  It’s much easier to do something difficult for 23 days than for 40 days.  However, for those people who are very committed, the 40 day program will encourage the maximum amount of weight loss.

Additionally, the 40 day program, which is almost 6 weeks, instigates more permanent changes in behavior. Although good lifestyle habits (i.e. balanced diet and regular activity) play a significant role in maintaining a healthy weight, it is our behavioral patterns or thought processes that ultimately determine our physical appearance and well-being.  For the typical human brain, it takes about 6 weeks to create new behavioral patterns. Just like the philosophical statement made by René Descartes, I think, therfore I am, a mental shift needs to occur for many people with long-standing weight issues…I think I am thin, therefore I am thin.

Vegetables that Contain the Most & Least Amount of Pesticides

For all of our patients, whether they are participating in the hCG weight loss diet plan, hormone replacement therapies, or natural pain management, we at SanTan Natural Medicine stress that organic foods are healthier.

Here are the Vegetables that are treated with the Most Pesticides that should be eaten organic:

    1. Celery (worst)
    2. Bell peppers
    3. Kale
    4. Lettuce
    5. Carrots
    6. Collard Greens
    7. Spinach
    8. Potatoes
    9. Green beans
    10. Summer squash, such as zucchini

Vegetables with the Least Amount of Pesticides:

A Doctor Increases Success with the hCG Diet! (Ella’s story)

In the last few years, we at SanTan Natural Medicine have helped over a thousand patients lose weight on the hCG Diet.  Each day Dr. Mitchell prescribes hCG combined with a Very Low Calorie Diet for either 23 or 40 days.  As per Dr. Simeons' hCG Protocol, the amount of hCG prescribed is usually the same for each person.  The treatment is the same regardless of age, weight, or height.

Some patients, however, need a more tailor-made treatment. A doctor’s guidance can be the difference between a successful weight loss plan and abandoning what has worked for countless others. Ella, for example, responded to the initial treatment with some nausea and vomiting. With Dr. Mitchell’s personalized attention she received a lower dose of hCG, which her body responded to better.

Ella was able to continue with the hCG diet and lose weight.

Green Onion Soup

vegetable brothliquid aminozsweet

    • green onions (allowed amount)
    • 2 c
    • 1-2 t
    • 1 t parsley
    • 1 t
    • 1/2 t paprika
    • 1/2 t salt
    • 1/2 t dill
    • 1/2 t thyme
    • 1/8 t cayenne or red pepper flakes
    • 1/8 t celery seed

2 Preheat saucepan over MED heat.

3 Chop steamed green onions.

4 In a saucepan, sauté the green onions in a bit of vegetable broth for a couple of minutes, then add the parsley, zsweet, paprika, salt, dill, thyme, celery seed, and cayenne. Sauté 1-2 mins more.

5 Add remaining vegetable broth, reduce heat, cover and simmer 20-30

               1 Briefly steam the green onions until tender.

A Great hCG Diet Plan Recipe

Since we average 100 new hCG patients a month here at SanTan Natural Medicine, a question that often comes up is, "What are some recipes for the hCG Diet Plan?" We found a few good ones at MyhCGJourney.com.

Below is One of the hCG Diet Plan Recipes:

Lemon Oregano Whitefish Packet w/ Asparagus

  • 100g whitefish
  • asparagus (allowed amount)
  • juice of one lemon
  • 1 t oregano
  • salt/pepper

1. Preheat the oven to 400F.

2. Snap off woody ends of asparagus and discard.

3. Tear off a large sheet of non-stick aluminum foil.

4. In the center of this sheet, place asparagus spears and sprinkle with salt/pepper.

5. Place whitefish on top of asparagus.

6. In small bowl, combine lemon juice & oregano, and pour over fish.

7. Fold up edges and completely seal packet on all sides.

8. Bake 10-20 mins, until fish flakes.

9. Serve.
